Billet handling machines

Thermcon billet handling machines form a part of a batch type homogenizing and cooling facility for extrusion billets and - as all Thermcon equipment - are customized for the specific plant they will operate in.

The machines that are entirely hydraulically driven, can either be operated manually or fully automatically in an automatic billet handling system that allows automatic billet transport from the loading area downstream of the DC casting machine to the exit table or the stacking machine at the billet saw. The load capacity of the machines will be matched to the capacity of the homogenizing and cooling facilities they serve.

 

The above picture shows a typical example of a Thermcon billet charging machine that can be uni-directional, bi-directional and have a rotating device included so that the machines can fit into any conceivable casthouse layout.
